On 6th September Defence Day is celebrated in memory of the sacrifices the Pakistani armed forces made in the war of 1965. Defence Day is one of the most significant events in the history of Pakistan. On 6 September 2021 Govt. Graduate College for Women Satellite Town Jhang celebrated Defence day with great enthusiasm and devotion.
Worthy DDC Naeem Lashari was Chief Guest of this Program. Many Head of the Departments, Faculty members and students attended the program. Fatima Rasheed hosted the function and welcomed all respecting guests and attendees. The session was formally started with recitation of the Holy Quran. Hafsa Bajwa recited the verses of Holy Quran and Zainab Bukhari presented Naat e Rasool e Maqbool (SAW). Student Iqra Afzal sang beautiful national song “aye puttar hattan ty nae wkdy” to pay tribute to our brave soldiers. Faiza Afzal delivered enthusiastic speech. The topic of her speech was “Our Martyrs our Pride”. Student Malika Anjum snag beautiful national song “Ay rahy haq ky shaheedo” to pay tribute to the martyrs.
